Piezoelectric Polyurethane/Barium Titanate Composites with High Stretchability and Voltage Output for Energy Harvesting in Soft Wearable Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Piezoelectric additives are combined with an elastomer host, creating a material with properties of both parent materials: high voltage output and exceptional stretchability. These stretchable piezoelectric materials have the robustness for integration into soft wearable electronics, functioning as renewable energy harvesters to charge capacitors.

A Dual‐Emissive DNA‐Templated Silver Nanocluster with Near‐Infrared I and II Emission

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 8, March 13, 2025.
This study presents a dual‐emissive DNA‐stabilized silver nanocluster with a nanosecond‐lived NIR‐I emission band and a microsecond‐lived NIR‐II emission band. Mass spectrometry establishes that the nanocluster has molecular formula (DNA)2[Ag17]11+. DNA sequence variations reveal critical nucleobases for stabilization, and modifications at the DNA 5 ...

Simultaneous Emission Spectral Narrowing and Spin‐Flip Acceleration in Multi‐Resonance Organoboron Emitters via Sequential Indolo‐Fusion π‐Extension

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Sequential indolo‐fusion π‐extension as a rational design strategy to further narrow the emission bandwidth of multi‐resonance thermally activated delayed fluorescence is introduced. By fusing one or two additional indole moieties to the periphery of Cz‐B, gradual spectra narrowing and accelerated triplet–singlet exciton spin conversion are ...
