Allogeneic Immune Cell Perfusion Inhibits the Growth of Vascularized 3D In Vitro Tumor Models, Induces Vascular Regression and Desmoplasia, but Promotes Tumor Cell Invasion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a vascularized 3D tumor model to investigate immune–stromal–tumor interactions under allogeneic PBMC perfusion. While immune cells induced tumor shrinkage, they also promoted vascular regression, stromal activation, and cancer cell invasion.

Dilute but Dense – Reversible Crosslinking Enables Water‐Rich (Bio)polymer Condensates

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Reversible crosslinking between two types of (bio)polymers drives liquid–liquid phase separation even in good solvent. The arrangement of binding motifs controls condensate formation and density, and internal network structure. Simulations and theory reveal a closed‐loop coexistence phase diagram at very low monomer concentrations and re‐entrant ...

The Bumpy Road from Paris to Brussels: The European Commission Governance Incentive Tranche [PDF]

open access: yes
The EC recently launched a new aid instrument for the ACP-community: the “governance incentive tranche”, a modality designed to incentivise ACP-governments to carry out governance reforms. In this paper we analyse whether this new initiative incorporates

Gravity‐Tolerant In‐Flight 3D Bioprinting Enabled by Stereolithography for Space Tissue Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A flight‐compliant, closed stereolithographic 3D bioprinting system enables robust fabrication of acellular and cell‐laden hydrogel constructs under varying gravitational conditions, including microgravity and hypergravity phases. Printed structures retain dimensional fidelity and high‐resolution features, while cell viability remains high ...

Dorsal Raphe VIP Neurons Are Critical for Survival‐Oriented Vigilance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
DRNVIP neurons in mice and primates are strategically positioned to influence the central extended amygdala via feedback loops. They regulate the excitability of PKC‐δ neurons in the ovBNST and CeA through glutamate release. Their ablation heightens activity in these regions, disrupts active‐phase sleep architecture, enhances risk assessment behaviors ...
