Medical Fabrics with Non‐Antibiotic, Supramolecular Antimicrobial Coatings: A Preventive Approach to Combat Biofilm Formation and Bacterial Dissemination

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
The study presents an antibiotic‐free strategy using medical fabrics coated with supramolecular assemblies of polyarginine and hyaluronic acid. These coatings showed strong antimicrobial and anti‐biofilm activity in vitro and in vivo, achieving major bacterial load reductions, including against MRSA.

ShapeGuide: Shape-Based 3D Interaction for Parameter Modification of Native CAD Data

open access: yesFrontiers in Robotics and AI, 2018
While Virtual Reality (VR) technologies are commonly used in industrial companies, loading and modifying CAD parts of commercial CAD systems in virtual environments are still challenging. A few VR applications for Computer Aided Design (CAD) enable users

Subgroups of perceptions and related behaviors during the COVID-19 lockdown: experience of adolescents in the PARIS birth cohort

open access: yesChild and Adolescent Psychiatry and Mental Health, 2023
Background Adolescents may not all have reacted similarly to the COVID-19 lockdown. This study aimed to identify subgroups of perceptions in adolescents from the PARIS cohort during the first French lockdown, and to investigate whether adolescent ...

SLC2A3‐Mediated Lactate Metabolism Promotes Lung Cancer Bone Metastasis by Modulating P53 Lactylation and Immune Evasion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SLC2A3 derived lactate promotes metastasis through p53 lactylation at K120 and osteoclast differentiation. Pharmacological inhibition of SLC2A3 upregulates PD‐1 expression on CD8+ T cells via lactate induced p53 lactylation, which modulates immune evasion. ABSTRACT Bone metastasis is a devastating consequence of lung cancer.

Gravity‐Tolerant In‐Flight 3D Bioprinting Enabled by Stereolithography for Space Tissue Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A flight‐compliant, closed stereolithographic 3D bioprinting system enables robust fabrication of acellular and cell‐laden hydrogel constructs under varying gravitational conditions, including microgravity and hypergravity phases. Printed structures retain dimensional fidelity and high‐resolution features, while cell viability remains high ...

Male genital lobe morphology affects the chance to copulate in Drosophila pachea

open access: yesBMC Ecology and Evolution, 2021
Introduction Male genitalia are thought to ensure transfer of sperm through direct physical contact with female during copulation. However, little attention has been given to their pre-copulatory role with respect to sexual selection and sexual conflict.

Investigation of the Lithium Extraction Mechanism from LiNi0.6Mn0.2Co0.2O2 by Using Operando Neutron Diffraction in an All‐Solid‐State Battery

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
All‐solid‐state batteries (ASSB) are promising for high‐energy applications. Using a newly designed electrochemical cell, this study demonstrates reversible Li+ insertion/extraction in a thick ASSB and enables operando neutron diffraction. The results reveal structural evolution and H1‐H2 phase coexistence in LiNi0.6Mn0.2Co0.2O2 (NMC622), while ...
