BiSbF2 Monolayer: A 2D Inversion‐Asymmetric Topological Insulator With Linearly Tunable Giant Spin‐Splitting and Bulk Gap

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The BiSbF2 monolayer is a 2D topological insulator with a large bandgap (252 meV) hosting topological edge states and giant valley‐contrasted spin‐splitting (478 meV). The sizable gap enables room‐temperature quantum spin Hall effects, while its coexisting topological and valleytronic features provide a versatile platform for exploring topological ...

On the Definition of Chirality and Enantioselective Fields

open access: yesIsrael Journal of Chemistry, Volume 62, Issue 11-12, December 2022., 2022
Abstract In solid state physics, any symmetry breaking is known to be associated with emergence of an order parameter. However, the order parameter for molecular and crystal chirality, which is a consequence of parity and mirror symmetry breaking, has not been known since its discovery.

Two-photon decay enhanced even photon bundle emission

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
Multiquanta emission holds significant value for quantum computing and quantum information processing. In this study, we aim to enhance multiphoton bundle emission by introducing two-photon decay into cavity quantum electrodynamics systems.

Low-density parity-check codes—A statistical physics perspective [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The modem digital communication systems are made transmission reliable by employing error correction technique for the redundancies. Codes in the low-density parity-check work along the principles of Hamming code, and the parity-check matrix is very sparse, and multiple errors can be corrected.

Sulfonated para‐Polybenzimidazole Membranes for Use in Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Dense sulfonated para‐PBI membranes (MS‐PBI) are tested in the VRFB. The conductivity is 10 times lower than reported for MS‐PBI gel membranes, but 10 times higher than that of meta‐PBI. The influence of membrane preparation process, thickness, and operating temperature on the VRFB performance is investigated.

Low‐Cost, High‐Efficiency Organic Solar Cells Based on Ecofriendly Processing Solvent

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
A low‐complexity, cost‐effective donor material, PTQ10, combined with the high‐efficiency acceptor materials, BTP‐eC9 and Y6, demonstrates excellent performance with the ecofriendly solvent o‐xylene (XY) instead of the traditional chloroform (CF) for the spin‐coating method.

Translabial ultrasound evaluation after tension‐free transobturator tape technique: Outcomes based on the tape's position

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, Volume 160, Issue 1, Page 214-219, January 2023., 2023
Abstract Objective The purpose of this study was to evaluate the feasibility and accuracy of postoperative translabial ultrasound to assess the position of the tape implanted with the tension‐free transobturator tape technique. Methods We enrolled women with clinically and urodynamically proven type I or II stress urinary incontinence who were referred

Excited nucleon spectrum using a non-perturbatively improved clover fermion action

open access: yes, 2002
We discuss the extraction of negative-parity baryon masses from lattice QCD calculations. The mass of the lowest-lying negative-parity $J = 1/2^{-}$ state is computed in quenched lattice QCD using an ${\cal O}(a)$-improved clover fermion action, and a ...

Beyond subsistence? The role of rural cooperatives in driving smallholder commercialization in Ethiopia

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
Abstract The transition from subsistence to market‐oriented agriculture holds the potential to boost rural economic progress and improve the well‐being of the rural poor in developing countries. Despite this potential, there is limited understanding of the key drivers for smallholder commercialization. In this study, we utilize comprehensive three‐wave
