The article presents the long-term data on ecology and monitoring of a rare species of Lepidoptera Parnassius apollo. Estimation of the local population on the territory of the reserve shows its linear growth. A positive relationship is proved between the average daily temperatures of the coldest month of the year and the summer abundance of Apollo.
