Evaluation of Systemic Inflammatory Markers in Predicting Malignancy in Parotid Gland Tumors

Preoperative systemic inflammatory indices may assist in distinguishing benign from malignant parotid tumors. In this cohort of 259 patients undergoing parotidectomy, malignant tumors were associated with higher neutrophil‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (PLR) values, as well as larger tumor size and older age.

Transoral Robotic Resection of Pediatric Tongue Base Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma

Transoral robotic surgery (TORS) offers a precise, minimally invasive approach for the management of rare pediatric tongue base malignancies. Intraoperative visualization demonstrates accurate tumor delineation and controlled resection, while postoperative findings confirm effective oncologic clearance with preservation of surrounding structures.

Utility of Combining FIESTA‐C and MENSA for Facial Nerve Identification in Parotid Gland Surgery

This study evaluated the role of FIESTA‐C and MENSA in facial nerve identification and tumor localization in parotid gland surgery. The combination of FIESTA‐C and MENSA improved the accuracy of facial nerve identification and tumor localization compared to either sequence alone.
