Bilateral parotid neoplasms

Head & Neck, 1994
In this case, the experts come out of the starting blocks disagreeing. One expert (Dr. Myers) does not routinely use FNA, relying instead on clinical signs to suspect a malignancy. the other physicians (Drs. Robbins and Suen) obtain an FNA for each parotid mass and use the information in counseling patients.

Risk stratification of fine‐needle aspiration cytology of parotid neoplasms based on the Milan system—Experience from a tertiary center in Asia

Head and Neck, 2019
The recently described Milan system provides a unified way of categorizing salivary gland fine‐needle aspiration (FNA) cytology. We aim to use this system to stratify risk of malignancy in parotid FNAs.

Vascular neoplasms of the parotid gland

Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1993
Vascular neoplasms of the parotid gland are common in early childhood, particularly in females. We reviewed the clinical, histologic, and treatment details of 10 cases of hemangiomas and one case of lymphangioma that involved the parotid gland. Histologically, the cellularity and increased division figures in these lesions should not be interpreted as ...

Osteoclast-type giant cell neoplasms of the parotid gland

The Journal of Laryngology & Otology, 1988
AbstractThe parotid gland is added to the list of parenchymal organs, notably the pancreas, in which osteoclast-like cells appear as constituent cells in their neoplasms. The cells' role in the neoplasms is a reactive one or, more rarely, as an integral element in an osteoclast-type giant cell neoplasm or so-called osteoclastoma.
