Hemodynamics of Idiopathic Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation

Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, 1995
The hemodynamics of induced atrial fibrillation (AF) was investigated in 15 patients (ages 58 ± 11 years) with paroxysmal AF presenting without organic heart disease or hypertension. A hemodynamic study was performed both during sinus rhythm and after the induction of AF.

Catheter Ablation of Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation

Cardiology in Review, 2005
In the recent years, many investigators have proved the efficacy and safety of catheter ablation in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. Further studies would be necessary to decrease the recurrence rate and complication rate, and make the procedure more simple.

Dispersion of repolarization in paroxysmal atrial fibrillation

International Journal of Cardiology, 1998
Widened dispersion of refractoriness has been considered to lead to an increase in atrial vulnerability. In this study, we obtained simultaneous monophasic action potential recordings by 2 special catheters from 2 different loci in the right atrium in 9 normal subjects (Group 1) and in 7 patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (Group 2).

[Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation].

Revue medicale de Liege, 2004
Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation is one of the most common disorders of cardiac rhythm. It is often a step toward permanent arhythmia, specially if associated with cardiac disease. The management objectives of intermittent arhythmia may be different, as maintenance of sinus rhythm.

[Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation].

La Revue du praticien, 1993
Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation is the most frequent of cardiac arrhythmias and its frequency increases with age. Its diagnosis is difficult since the symptoms are often absent or misleading. It is based on electrocardiogram performed during the attack, and this has been made easier by the Holter technique or by sequential recordings triggered by the ...

Paroxysmal A trial Fibrillation:

Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, 1995
Classification of Atrial Fibrillation. Introduction: Clinical aspects of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation are heterogeneous. The attacks of atrial fibrillation may differ in their duration frequency and presence and severity of symptoms. Therefore, a proposal for a clinical classification of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation may be helpful.

Clinical Significance of the Atrial Fibrillation Threshold in Patients with Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation

Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, 2001
INOUE, K., et al.: Clinical Significance of the Atrial Fibrillation Threshold in Patients with Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation. AF threshold and the other electrophysiological parameters were measured to quantify atrial vulnerability in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAF, n = 47), and those without AF (non‐PAF, n = 25). Stimulations were

Progression of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation to persistent atrial fibrillation in patients with bradyarrhythmias

American Heart Journal, 2007
The experimental concept that "atrial fibrillation (AF) begets AF" implies that atrial tachyarrhythmia (AT)/AF burden uniformly increases over time. However, the temporal patterns of paroxysmal AT/AF burden progression, its conversion to persistent AF, and the relationship to underlying disease in humans are unknown. We analyzed the average daily AT/AF
