Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation after Gastric Freezing
New England Journal of Medicine, 1964GASTRIC freezing is receiving widespread clinical trial and therefore it seems pertinent to describe paroxysmal fibrillation in 2 patients shortly after freezing. To our knowledge the occurrence of this arrhythmia with gastric freezing has not previously been reported. Case Reports Case 1.

Pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) using cryoballoon is effective for patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAF); however, few reports have evaluated the non‐pulmonary vein (PV) foci after cryoballoon ablation.

[Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation].
La Revue du praticien, 1993Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation is the most frequent of cardiac arrhythmias and its frequency increases with age. Its diagnosis is difficult since the symptoms are often absent or misleading. It is based on electrocardiogram performed during the attack, and this has been made easier by the Holter technique or by sequential recordings triggered by the ...

[Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation].
Revue medicale de Liege, 2004Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation is one of the most common disorders of cardiac rhythm. It is often a step toward permanent arhythmia, specially if associated with cardiac disease. The management objectives of intermittent arhythmia may be different, as maintenance of sinus rhythm.

Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation in the Dog
Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, 1971SUMMARY Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation occurred in 5 dogs and reverted to sinus rhythm without specific treatment for the arrhythmia. As is true for established atrial fibrillation, paroxysmal atrial fibrillation indicates serious cardiac disease and the prognosis is grave.

Catheter Ablation of Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation
Cardiology in Review, 2005In the recent years, many investigators have proved the efficacy and safety of catheter ablation in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. Further studies would be necessary to decrease the recurrence rate and complication rate, and make the procedure more simple.

Cryoballoon ablation beyond paroxysmal atrial fibrillation
Current Opinion in Cardiology, 2019Although radiofrequency-based pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) was considered the 'gold standard' for the treatment of atrial fibrillation for a long time, the cryoballoon has turned out to be a common alternative tool for atrial fibrillation ablation.

Detection of occult paroxysmal atrial fibrillation
Medical & Biological Engineering & Computing, 2014This work introduces a novel approach to the detection of brief episodes of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAF). The proposed detector is based on four parameters which characterize RR interval irregularity, P-wave absence, f-wave presence, and noise level, of which the latter three are determined from a signal produced by an echo state network.

PAROXYSMAL ATRIAL FIBRILLATION IN A RACEHORSE
Australian Veterinary Journal, 1977SUMMARY A 4‐year‐old thoroughbred stallion with a history of loss of racing form was studied over a period of approximately 7 months. At the initial examination he showed positive T waves in 1 chest lead and wandering of the pacemaker. This was followed by an episode of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation which disappeared spontaneously and was replaced by ...

Management of atrial arrhythmias 3 paroxysmal atrial fibrillation
British Journal of Hospital Medicine, 2007This is the third in a series of four practical articles highlighting the important management steps for noncardiologists and non-cardiac electrophysiologists dealing with patients with atrial fibrillation and common atrial flutter. This article will deal with care pathways and management principles for paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.
