Antiarrhythmic and proarrhythmic effects of subcutaneous nerve stimulation in ambulatory dogs [PDF]
Background High output subcutaneous nerve stimulation (ScNS) remodels the stellate ganglia and suppresses cardiac arrhythmia. Objective To test the hypothesis that long duration low output ScNS causes cardiac nerve sprouting, increases plasma ...

Impact of Curarization on Pentaspline Catheter Stability During Pulsed‐Field Pulmonary Vein Ablation
ABSTRACT Background Pulsed field ablation (PFA) is effective for pulmonary vein isolation (PVI), but phrenic nerve stimulation during applications may induce diaphragmatic contractions and destabilize catheter positioning. This study evaluated whether neuromuscular blockade improves catheter stability.

Artificial Intelligence-Enhanced Electrocardiography for Predicting Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation From Sinus Rhythm: Impact of Data Integration Across Institutions and Devices. [PDF]
We developed CNN models using sinus rhythm ECG data from two institutions using distinct ECG systems. A fine‐tuned model trained on homogeneous datasets from cardiology departments consistently achieved high performance, whereas a model trained on heterogeneous datasets demonstrated lower performance.

Atrial high-rate episodes: prevalence, stroke risk, implications for management, and clinical gaps in evidence [PDF]
Self-terminating atrial arrhythmias are commonly detected on continuous rhythm monitoring, e.g. by pacemakers or defibrillators. It is unclear whether the presence of these arrhythmias has therapeutic consequences.

ABSTRACT Background The left atrial posterior wall (LAPW) is often targeted in atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation due to its shared properties with pulmonary veins. However, substrate‐guided approaches using structural markers have shown inconsistent results.

Atrial fibrillation and electrophysiology in transgenic mice with cardiac-restricted overexpression of FKBP12 [PDF]
Cardiomyocyte-restricted overexpression of FK506-binding protein 12 transgenic (αMyHC-FKBP12) mice develop spontaneous atrial fibrillation (AF). The aim of the present study is to explore the mechanisms underlying the occurrence of AF in αMyHC-FKBP12 ...

ABSTRACT Introduction Intravenous lidocaine is frequently used for refractory ventricular arrhythmia (VA). Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a common comorbidity in VA patients. Lidocaine poses theoretical risks of hemodynamic compromise and pro‐arrhythmia, including AF with rapid ventricular rates (RVR).

The role of emotional stress in the genesis of life-hreatening heart rhythm disorders
Personality and features of stress previous arrhythmia were studied in 70 patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. A comparative evaluation was done between effectiveness of the treatment of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation by only somatotropic ...
