Effect of pregnancy on paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia
The American Journal of Cardiology, 1993more detailed study is undertaken. In the present study, 24% (6 of 25) of patients had either dual AV node pathways or multiple accessory pathways. In such cases, the initial use of an abbreviated protocol may actually prolong the procedure. One additional point merits consideration.

Journal of the American Medical Association, 1955Phenylephrine (Neo-Synephrine) hydrochloride was first suggested as an effective drug in the treatment of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia by Youmans and his group in 1947. Since this time others have mentioned its use and at the same time suggested that the drug was relatively innocuous in the absence of heart disease.

Anales espanoles de pediatria, 1991We report 65 cases (1970-1989). They were processing in a data base program for cardiology records. A number of selected variables, were analysed by un statistical package. The results of 230 statistical tests between means, percentage and correlations, point out statistical value on prognosis forecast.

Paroxysmal Supraventricular Tachycardia: Experience with Propafenone
Angiology, 1989The authors studied the efficacy of intravenous (IV) (1.5-2 mg/kg) and oral propafenone (450 to 900 mg/day) in 16 patients with paroxysmal, sus tained, recurrent supraventricular tachycardia (SVT). In 5 patients IV propafenone was not given, because of intolerant SVT. Nine patients had Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome.
