ABSTRACT Background Timely cancer diagnosis in children and adolescents is important to improving outcomes. We aimed to quantify time to diagnosis and assess variations by patient, demographic and system‐level factors. Procedure We conducted a population‐based study of individuals aged 0–19 years diagnosed with one of 12 cancers from 2010 to 2022 in ...

ATRIAL FIBRILLATION ASSOCIATED WITH MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION OF DIFFERENT LOCALIZATIONS
Aim. To specify the mechanism of atrial fibrillation (AF) development and to evaluate the function of left atrium after restoration of sinus rhythm in patients with AF and acute myocardial infarction (MI) without significant reduction in left ventricular

ABSTRACT Background Patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis commonly experience reduced physical function, fatigue, poor sleep quality, and impaired health‐related quality of life. Intradialytic exercise has been proposed as a non‐pharmacological strategy to improve these outcomes.

ABSTRACT Background Japan has one of the highest dialysis prevalence rates worldwide and a shrinking, aging population. Whether dialysis burden has entered a sustained post‐peak phase or whether recent declines partly reflect pandemic‐related disruptions remains uncertain.

RADIOFREQUENCY ABLATION IN ATRIAL TACHYCARDIA PAROXYSM ON EXAMPLE OF CLINICAL CASE
The disappearance of atrial tachycardia paroxysms after radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFA) of ectopic focus in a left atrium is presented on example of clinical case. Atrial tachycardia paroxysms disappeared after ablation completely.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

CLINICAL EFFICACY AND SAFETY OF SEIZING PAROXYSMS OF ATRIAL FIBRILLATION WITH PROPAPHENON
The study was made to evaluate clinical efficacy, safety and electrophysiological effects of Propaphenon in seizing paroxysms of atrial fibrillation (AF)45 patients have been evaluated, with AF paroxysms lasting up to 48 hours.
