Parry-Romberg syndrome is a rare disease characterized by slowly progressive atrophy affecting facial subcutaneous tissues, including the underlying muscles and osteocartilaginous structures. Various periocular, ocular, and neuro-ophthalmological manifestations have been described in Parry-Romberg syndrome.

Parry-Romberg syndrome is a progressive hemifacial atrophy involving the skin, soft tissues, cartilage, and underlying bone.1 It was described first by Parry in 1825,2 then Romberg in 1846,3 and Eulenberg in 1871.4 It is more frequent in women, with a female-to-male ratio of 1.5:1.5 In Rogers’ study of 772 cases, only 5 percent showed bilateral atrophy.
