Parsec: direct style monadic parser combinators for the real world [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Despite the long list of publications on parser combinators, there does not yet exist a monadic parser combinator library that is applicable in real world situations.

An implementation of combined partial parser and morphosyntactic disambiguator [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 45th Annual Meeting of the ACL: Student Research Workshop on - ACL '07, 2007
The aim of this paper is to present a simple yet efficient implementation of a tool for simultaneous rule-based morphosyntactic tagging and partial parsing formalism. The parser is currently used for creating a tree-bank of partial parses in a valency acquisition project over the IPI PAN Corpus of Polish.

scala-tptp-parser

open access: yes, 2021
scala-tptp-parser is a library for parsing the input languages of the TPTP infrastructure. The package contains a data structure for the abstract syntax tree (AST) of the parsed input as well as the parser for the different language of the TPTP, see ...

Combinator Parsers: From Toys to Tools

open access: yesElectronic Notes in Theoretical Computer Science, 2001
AbstractWe develop, in a stepwise fashion, a set of parser combinators for constructing deterministic, error-correcting parsers. The only restriction on the grammar is that it is not left recursive. Extensive use is made of lazy evaluation, and the parsers constructed “analyze themselves”.

Parser evaluation and the BNC: evaluating 4 constituency parsers with 3 metrics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We evaluate discriminative parse reranking and parser self-training on a new English test set using four versions of the Charniak parser and a variety of parser evaluation metrics. The new test set consists of 1,000 hand-corrected British National Corpus

Automatic definition extraction using parser combinators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The automatic extraction of definitions from natural language texts has various applications such as the creation of glossaries and question-answering systems.

Exploiting Diversity in Natural Language Processing: Combining Parsers

open access: yesCoRR, 2000
Three state-of-the-art statistical parsers are combined to produce more accurate parses, as well as new bounds on achievable Treebank parsing accuracy. Two general approaches are presented and two combination techniques are described for each approach. Both parametric and non-parametric models are explored.

Parser evaluation across text types [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
When a statistical parser is trained on one treebank, one usually tests it on another portion of the same treebank, partly due to the fact that a comparable annotation format is needed for testing.

Simple parser combination

open access: yes, 2012
This paper presents an ensemble system for dependency parsing: three parsers are separately trained and combined by means of a majority vote. The three parsers are (1) the MATE parser [http://code.google.com/p/mate-tools/], (2) the DeSR parser [http://sites.google.com/site/desrparser/], and (3) the MALT parser [http://maltparser.org/].
