An asymptotic expansion of the solution of a semi-linear partial differential equation implied by a nonlinear Feynman–Kac formula

This paper introduces an asymptotic expansion for the smooth solution of a semi-linear partial differential equation. Our scheme is based on Itô’s formula, Taylor’s expansion, nonlinear Feynman–Kac formula and some algebras.

Designing Wire Mazes for Replicating Natural Echoes to Study Bat Biosonar Function

A validated framework combining efficient physical modeling (multiple scattering model) and deep learning is presented to guide wire‐maze design for bat biosonar studies. This approach rapidly generates large datasets to test acoustic distinguishability among wire arrangements.

The Herfindahl neutral point: A firm‐level threshold for managing market concentration with evidence from US hog packing

Abstract This paper derives a firm‐level threshold, the Herfindahl Neutral Point, from the standard concentration index used in merger review. At this threshold, a marginal expansion leaves the index unchanged. Firms below the threshold reduce concentration when they expand; firms above it increase concentration.
