The Price of Precision: A Critical Review of Molecular Diagnostics in Glioma, From Guidelines to Global Disparities

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Gliomas have undergone a profound redefinition over the past decade, transitioning from morphology‐based entities to biologically coherent diseases defined by molecular alterations. The 2021 WHO Classification of Tumors of the Central Nervous System and its 2022 update formalize this shift, establishing integrated diagnosis as the global ...

Détection de composants minoritaires dans les produits pulvérulents de l'industrie agro-alimentaire par imagerie hyperspectrale proche infrarouge [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Near-infrared (NIR) hyperspectral imaging provides a spectral map for organic samples. Minor compounds in food powder can be looked for by analyzing the pixel spectra. However, the NIR spectral analysis is limited to a given depth.

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

Is an Apple an Orange? A Large Language Model Benchmark for Candidate Term Extraction and Subclass Decisions Against Upper Ontologies in Engineering and Materials Science

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Building machine‐readable vocabularies for materials science is slow, expert‐driven work. This study benchmarks 13 large language models on two of its first steps: finding candidate terms in engineering articles and deciding where they belong in a class hierarchy.

Partial Ambiguity Resolution Strategy for Single-Frequency GNSS RTK/INS Tightly Coupled Integration in Urban Environments [PDF]

open access: yes
Single-frequency global navigation satellite system/inertial navigation system (GNSS/INS) integration has wide application prospects in urban environments; however, correct integer ambiguity is the major challenge because of GNSS-blocked environments. In
