Two-pion interferometry for a partially coherent evolution source

Chinese Physics C, 2008
We give the formulas of two-pion Hanbury-Brown-Twiss (HBT) correlation function for a partially coherent evolution pion-emitting source, using quantum probability amplitudes in a path-integral formalism. The multiple scattering of the particles in the source is taken into consideration based on Glauber scattering theory.

Comparison of biometric measurements using partial coherence interferometry and applanation ultrasound

Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 2003
To compare and contrast axial length (AL) measurements assessed by ultrasound biometry and optical biometry.Department of Ophthalmology, Johannes Gutenberg-University, Mainz, Germany.Optical biometry and ultrasound biometry were performed in 360 eyes to measure AL.In eyes with a clear-appearing crystalline lens, there was a statistically significant ...

Comparison of partial coherence interferometry and ultrasound for anterior segment biometry

Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 2009
To assess the performance of a partial coherence interferometry (PCI)-based device for the determination of anterior segment biometry.Clinica Centrofama, Cartagena, Murcia, Spain.Central corneal thickness (CCT), anterior chamber depth (ACD), and lens thickness (LT) were measured with the ACMaster PCI anterior segment biometer and an Echoscan US-1800 ...

Ultrasound and Partial Coherence Interferometry With Measurement of Central Corneal Thickness

Journal of Refractive Surgery, 2006
ABSTRACT PURPOSE: To compare noncontact pachymeter measurements with ultrasound pachymeter measurements and assess their reproducibility. METHODS: Central corneal thickness was measured in 104 eyes of 56 patients with three laser interference pachymeters (OLCR [Haag Streit, Könitz, Switzerland], OCP [4optics AG, Lübeck, Germany ...

Partial coherence interferometry: a novel approach to biometry in cataract surgery

American Journal of Ophthalmology, 1998
To compare biometry performed by an enhanced version of dual beam partial coherence interferometry and applanation ultrasound in a prospective study of 85 cataract eyes to improve refractive outcome of cataract surgery due to a more accurate calculation of intraocular lens power. The SRK II formula using ultrasound biometry data was employed.

Accuracy of a new partial coherence interferometry analyser for biometric measurements

British Journal of Ophthalmology, 2009
Precise biometry is an essential preoperative measurement for refractive surgery as well as cataract surgery. A new device based on partial coherence interferometry technology was tested and evaluated for accuracy of measurements. In a prospective study 200 eyes of 100 healthy phakic volunteers were examined with a functional prototype of the new ...

Multicenter study of optical low-coherence interferometry and partial-coherence interferometry optical biometers with patients from the United States and China

Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 2016
To evaluate the agreement between the measurements provided by a new optical biometer, the Aladdin, based on optical low-coherence interferometry (OLCI), and those provided by the most commonly used optical biometer (IOLMaster 500), based on partial-coherence interferometry (PCI).Multicenter clinical trial.Prospective evaluation of diagnostic test.In ...

Resolution of partially coherent objects by use of speckle interferometry*

Journal of the Optical Society of America, 1974
The method of obtaining near-diffraction-limited information by averaging the modulus-squared Fourier-transformed radiant-flux density is applied to partially coherent light. The case of two point sources with arbitrary coherence properties and intensities is considered in detail.

Dispersion induced multiple signal peak splitting in partial coherence interferometry

Optics Communications, 1998
Abstract Dispersion is known to increase the width of the coherence envelope and therefore to decrease the resolution in partial coherence interferometry (PCI). If the thickness of a thin foil located behind a dispersive medium is to be measured, a further effect occurs.

Partially coherent illumination in lateral shearing interferometry

2018
This thesis discusses the influence of a special spatially extended light source in lateral shearing interferometry, both in the two-beam case and for speckle interferometry. In particular, the use of diffractive elements is emphasized, whereby intrinsic errors of the experimental setups can be kept low and at the same time a high degree of flexibility
