Partial Person Re-Identification
2015 IEEE International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV), 2015We address a new partial person re-identification (re-id) problem, where only a partial observation of a person is available for matching across different non-overlapping camera views. This differs significantly from the conventional person re-id setting where it is assumed that the full body of a person is detected and aligned.

Partial identification and mergers
Economics Letters, 2013This paper discusses policy choice under ambiguity in the context of merger simulation. We do so by incorporating the uncertainty about post-merger conduct into a simple merger simulation model. We isolate the problem of uncertainty regarding post-merger conduct by working with a simple “conduct parameters” model in the spirit of Bresnahan (1982) and ...

Should We Be Partial to Partial Identification?
Criminal Justice and Behavior, 1995Eyewitness identification of criminal suspects from lineups and photospreads is the largest single cause of false imprisonment in the United States. Research programs have outlined experimentally proven techniques to reduce the dangers. Levi and Jungman have proposed a radical technique in which eyewitnesses choose several people from a large set of ...

Partial-Thickness Burns: Identification and Management
Advances in Skin & Wound Care, 2003To provide an overview of the appropriate evaluation and management of partial-thickness burns. This continuing-education activity is intended for physicians and nurses with an interest in learning about burn wound care. After reading the article and taking the test, the participant will be able to: 1. Describe the classification of burn wounds.

Partial Identification in Econometrics
2008Suppose that one wants to use sample data to draw conclusions about a population of interest. Econometricians have long found it useful to separately study identification problems and problems of statistical inference. Studies of identification characterize the conclusions that could be drawn if one were able to observe an unlimited number of ...

Structural damage identification using assigned partial eigenstructure
AIAA Journal, 1997Summary: We present a method of identifying damaged structural elements from measured modal data using an incomplete measurement set. The method uses a mathematical optimization strategy to minimize deviations between measured and analytical modal frequencies and partial mode shapes.

Identification and Partial Purification of PAPS Translocase
Biochemistry, 1996Sulfation of all macromolecules in higher organisms requires the high-energy donor 3'-phosphoadenosine 5'-phosphosulfate (PAPS). PAPS is synthesized via the sequential actions of two cytoplasmic enzymes, ATP sulfurylase and APS kinase, and then must be transferred across the Golgi membrane for utilization by lumenal sulfotransferases.
