Insertion of the FeB cofactor in cNORs lacking metal inserting chaperones
Nitric oxide reductase is an enzyme found in the bacterial denitrification pathway. The NOR active site contains a non‐heme iron, often, but not always inserted with the assistance of chaperones. Here, we study the insertion of FeB in the subfamily of cNORs lacking chaperones and found a putative channel, conserved in the family, perhaps enabling the ...

The number of circulating tumor cells obtained from prostate cancer patients was increased approximately 5‐fold compared to regular CellSearch when processing 2 mL diagnostic leukapheresis material aliquots and increased by 44‐fold when processing 20 mL DLA aliquots using the flow enrichment target capture Halbach‐array.

A Comparative Study between Different Machine Learning Algorithms for Estimating the Vehicular Delay at Signalized Intersections [PDF]
The delay at signalized intersections is a crucial parameter that determines the performance and level of service (LOS). The estimation models are commonly used to model delay; however, inaccurate predictions from these models can pose a significant ...

Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a possibility for different applications in early and late stage breast cancer management. In early breast cancer tumor informed approaches are increasingly used for detecting molecular residual disease (MRD) and early recurrence. In advanced stage, ctDNA provides a possibility for monitoring disease progression and

A comparative study of circulating tumor cell isolation and enumeration technologies in lung cancer
Lung cancer cells were spiked into donor blood to evaluate the recovery rates of the following circulating tumor cell (CTC) enrichment technologies: CellMag™, EasySep™, RosetteSep™, Parsortix® PR1, and Parsortix® Prototype systems. Each method's advantages and disadvantages are described.

Partial k-trees with maximum chromatic number
The paper is concerned with partial k-trees whose chromatic number is maximal, i.e. equal to (k + 1). We have proved that any such graph contains a triangle (if k ≥ 3), but need not contain a clique on[k+5/2] vertices as a subgraph.

Large multidimensional digital images of cancer tissue are becoming prolific, but many challenges exist to automatically extract relevant information from them using computational tools. We describe publicly available resources that have been developed jointly by expert and non‐expert computational biologists working together during a virtual hackathon

Analysis of ESR1 mutations in plasma cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) is highly important for the selection of treatment in patients with breast cancer. Using multiplex‐ddPCR and identical blood draws, we investigated whether circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and cfDNA provide similar or complementary information for ESR1 mutations.

An O(kn)-Time Algorithm to Solve Steiner (k, k′)-Eccentricity on Trees
Steiner (k,k′)-eccentricity on a given fixed k′-subset in a graph G is the maximum Steiner distance over all k-subsets of V(G) which contain the fixed k′-set, where the Steiner distance of a set is the size of a minimum Steiner tree on this set in a ...
