Partial Alternating Sign Matrix Bijections and Dynamics
We investigate analogues of alternating sign matrices, called partial alternating sign matrices. We prove bijections between these matrices and several other combinatorial objects. We use an analogue of Wieland's gyration on fully-packed loops, which we relate to the study of toggles and order ideals.

A robust partial least squares method with applications [PDF]
Partial least squares regression (PLS) is a linear regression technique developed to relate many regressors to one or several response variables. Robust methods are introduced to reduce or remove the effect of outlying data points.

Updating and estimating a Social Accounting Matrix using cross entropy methods [PDF]
The problem in estimating a social accounting matrix (SAM) for a recent year is to find an efficient and cost-effective way to incorporate and reconcile information from a variety of sources, including data from prior years.

zt: A Sofware Tool for Simple and Partial Mantel Tests
Different methods of data analysis (e.g. clustering and ordination) are based on distance matrices. In some cases, researchers may wish to compare several distance matrices with one another in order to test a hypothesis concerning a possible relationship

Partial chord diagrams and matrix models
International audienceIn this article, the enumeration of partial chord diagrams is discussed via matrix model techniques. In addition to the basic data such as the number of backbones and chords, we also consider the Euler characteristic, the backbone ...

Partial-state observers for nonlinear systems
This note deals with the design of reduced-order observers for a class of nonlinear systems. The order reduction of the observer is achieved by only estimating a required partial set of the state vector.
