Photovoltaic Array under Partial Shading Condition for Irrigation

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014
This paper discuss about the effect of partial shading on photovoltaic array and driving the dc-dc boost converter to track maximum power point (MPP ) by incremental conductance (INC) MPPT algorithm. The temperature, irradiance, shading and array configuration will greatly affect the Photovoltaic performance.

An Algorithm to Detect Partial Shading Conditions in a PV System

Materials Science Forum, 2016
Multiple local maxima (MPPs) are presented on the P-V curve of a PV system under partial shading conditions. In general, standard maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithms have trouble locating the global maximum, leading often to suboptimal operation at a local MPP, and thus to decreased efficiency.

MPPT Algorithm Under Partial Shading Conditions

2012
This paper proposes a novel maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithm based on analyzing the output characteristics of PV array under uniform irradiance and partial shading conditions (PSC). The algorithm adds partial shadow judging conditions in variable step perturb and observes (P&O) method.

Experimental Analysis of Photovoltaic Modeling for Partially Shading Conditions

2018 13th IEEE International Conference on Industry Applications (INDUSCON), 2018
Predicting the behavior of I-V and P-V curves for photovoltaic (PV) generation is possible through mathematical models for photovoltaic cells. However, current models are made for uniform conditions, making it difficult to analyze in case of non-uniform conditions such as partially shading conditions (PSC).

Distributed MPPT control under partial shading condition

2016 IEEE 8th International Power Electronics and Motion Control Conference (IPEMC-ECCE Asia), 2016
The performance of series connected PV panels significantly limited by the current mismatch caused by the partial shading. Distributed maximum power point tracking can increase the overall efficiency. A module level and a string level sub-module integrated maximum power point trackers are presented in this thesis.

New GMPPT algorithm for PV arrays under partial shading conditions

2012 IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics, 2012
This paper proposes a two-stage algorithm to track the global maximum power point (GMPP) in non-uniform irradiance conditions. It uses randomly selected sample points on the P-V curve and corresponding power contours on the I-V curve to narrow down the search interval.

Parameter Enhancement of Solar Array under Partial Shading conditions

2020 IEEE 9th Power India International Conference (PIICON), 2020
Partial shading is the major drawback of reducing the output power of PV array. Shade dispersion through Tom-Tom puzzle pattern is proposed in this manuscript to reduce the partial shading effects. The proposed method is compared with standard TCT configuration to test its efficacy.

Performance of BIPV system under partial shading condition

Solar Energy
The Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) system replaces some conventional building materials with photovoltaic modules, making integrating solar energy in towns and cities possible. Unfortunately, partial shading conditions (PSC) are widespread in urban areas and reduce the power produced.

Correlating Partial Shading and Operating Conditions to the Performance of PV Panels

2020
Harvesting solar energy as a renewable source to meet the expanding energy demand is essential for sustainable growth and a greener planet. The performance of the photovoltaic panels is affected by factors such as partial shading, elevated temperature, mismatch between the cell parameters, etc., which contribute to the loss in an inter-correlated ...
