Handbook for Participatory Democracy

This handbook is the result of a collaboration between the University of Luxembourg and the City of Dudelange. Tuning Interfacial Water Dynamics via Gd‐Doped Cu2O for High‐Rate Selective CO2‐to‐Ethanol Conversion

A Gd‐doped Cu2O electrocatalyst disrupts rigid interfacial hydrogen‐bonding networks, creating a free‐water‐rich microenvironment. This accelerates proton‐coupled electron transfer, enabling selective high‐rate CO2‐to‐ethanol conversion with 48.5% Faradaic efficiency at industrially relevant current densities.

A Compact Hollow Fiber Electrode Assembly Architecture for Continuous Electrochemical Marine Carbon Dioxide Removal

A coaxial, membrane‐integrated hollow fiber electrode assembly (HFEA) is developed for continuous marine carbon mineralization. By utilizing a sub‐millimeter inter‐electrode gap, the HFEA minimizes Ohmic losses, achieving 50% energy reduction and over 85% DIC removal.
