Z‐Scheme Water Splitting Systems Based on Solid‐State Electron Conductors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review examines the latest advances in Z‐scheme overall water splitting (OWS) systems for solar hydrogen production. These systems consist of suspended or immobilized hydrogen evolution photocatalysts (HEPs) and oxygen evolution photocatalysts (OEPs).

Measurement of the inclusive t t ¯ $$ \textrm{t}\overline{\textrm{t}} $$ cross section in final states with at least one lepton and additional jets with 302 pb −1 of pp collisions at s $$ \sqrt{\textrm{s}} $$ = 5.02 TeV

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
A measurement of the top quark pair ( t t ¯ $$ \textrm{t}\overline{\textrm{t}} $$ ) production cross section in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 5.02 TeV is presented.

Thermal description of hadron production in e+e- collisions revisited

open access: yes, 2009
We present a comprehensive analysis of hadron production in e+e- collisions at different center-of-mass energies in the framework of the statistical model of the hadron resonance gas.

Bimetallic Nanoparticles as Cocatalysts for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Production

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Recent developments have introduced bimetallic nanoparticles as effective cocatalysts for photocatalytic systems. This review explores the rapidly expanding research on bimetallic cocatalysts for photocatalytic production of hydrogen, emphasizing the creation of carrier‐selective contacts, localized surface plasmon resonance effects, methodologies for ...

DijetGAN: a Generative-Adversarial Network approach for the simulation of QCD dijet events at the LHC

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
A Generative-Adversarial Network (GAN) based on convolutional neural networks is used to simulate the production of pairs of jets at the LHC. The GAN is trained on events generated using MadGraph5, Pythia8, and Delphes3 fast detector simulation.

Electroweak non-resonant NLO corrections to e+ e- -> W+ W- b bbar in the t tbar resonance region

open access: yes, 2010
We analyse subleading electroweak effects in the top anti-top resonance production region in e+ e- collisions which arise due to the decay of the top and anti-top quarks into the W+ W- b bbar final state.

Low‐Symmetry Weyl Semimetals: A Path to Ideal Topological States

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a theoretical framework for realizing ideal Weyl semimetals, where Weyl nodes are well‐isolated at the Fermi level. The approach is exemplified in the low‐symmetry material Cu2SnSe3, which exhibits tunable topological phases, current‐induced orbital magnetization, and a strong circular photogalvanic effect, making it a promising ...

A Stopped delta-matter source in heavy ion collisions at 10-GeV/N? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We predict the formation of highly dense baryon-rich resonance matter in Au+Au collisions at AGS energies. The final pion yields show observable signs for resonance matter. The Delta1232 resonance is predicted to be the dominant source for pions of small

Preheating of Fermions

open access: yes, 1998
In inflationary cosmology, the particles constituting the Universe are created after inflation in the process of reheating due to their interaction with the oscillating inflaton field.
