Bioresorbable and Wireless Rechargeable Implanted Na‐ion Battery for Temporary Medical Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐solid‐state bioresorbable Na‐ion battery is developed, composed entirely of bio‐eliminable materials. In vivo and ex vivo tests confirmed harmless disintegration of this implanted battery. Lifetime of the implanted battery can be precisely controlled by adjusting the dissolvable encapsulation layer's thickness.

Time-delay, energy-continuum, and systematics of particles [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2003
Finding systematics in the mass-lifetime data for all the hadrons has been an outstanding problem. In this work, we show that the product of mass and lifetime for unstable particles is very well-approximated by \hbar 2^n/n where n is an integer specific for a particle. In doing so, we have employed a relation between time-delay and resonances.

Heavy ion collisions and lattice QCD at finite baryon density

open access: yes, 2004
We discuss a relation between the QCD thermodynamics obtained from a statistical analysis of particle production in heavy ion collisions at SPS and RHIC energies and recent LGT results at finite chemical potential.

Wearable Haptic Feedback Interfaces for Augmenting Human Touch

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The wearable haptic feedback interfaces enhance user experience in gaming, social media, biomedical instrumentation, and robotics by generating tactile sensations. This review discusses and categorizes current haptic feedback interfaces into force, thermal, and electrotactile stimulation‐based haptic feedback interfaces, elucidating their current ...

Amplifying nonresonant production of dark sector particles in scattering dominance regime

open access: yesPhysical Review D
We investigate the enhancement of dark sector particle production within the scattering dominant regime. These particles typically exhibit a slight mixing with Standard Model particles through various portals, allowing for their generation through in-medium oscillation from Standard Model particle sources.

Measurements of inclusive and differential cross sections for top quark production in association with a Z boson in proton-proton collisions at s $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 13 TeV

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Measurements are presented of inclusive and differential cross sections for Z boson associated production of top quark pairs ( t t ¯ Z $$ \textrm{t}\overline{\textrm{t}}\textrm{Z} $$ ) and single top quarks (tZq or tWZ).

Mediation of Oxidation and Spin States of Fe/P‐CoO2 Core–Shell Structures Catalysts for Oxygen Evolution Reaction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fe‐cationic and P‐anionic coordination, as fabricated in Co0.75Fe0.25P/MWCNTs, effectively optimizes the adsorption of OER intermediates (OH*, O*), promoting direct O*─O* coupling and avoiding the formation of unstable OOH* intermediate. This process is accompanied by an asynchronous transfer of electrons and protons, resulting in the formation of a ...

Measurement of the Y(nS) polarizations in pp collisions at s=7 $$ \sqrt{s}=7 $$ and 8 TeV

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
The polarization of the Y(1S), Y(2S) and Y(3S) mesons, produced in pp collisions at centre-of-mass energies s=7 $$ \sqrt{s}=7 $$ and 8 TeV, is measured using data samples collected by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to integrated luminosities of 1 and

Atomically Flat Dielectric Patterns for Bandgap Engineering and Lateral Junction Formation in MoSe2 Monolayers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a method to create atomically flat dielectric patterns of SiO2 and AlOx for MoSe2 monolayers, forming lateral heterojunctions with minimal strain. The dielectric pattern modulates excitonic properties, contact potential, and carrier dynamics, demonstrating a tunable approach for enhancing the optoelectronic properties of 2D ...

Selective Reduction Laser Sintering: A New Strategy for NO2 Gas Detection Based on In2O3 Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This research utilizes selective reduction laser sintering (SRLS) to engineer In2O3 NPs for flexible NO2 sensors. The introduction of oxygen vacancy defects enhances sensor performance, offering excellent responsiveness, rapid response/recovery, superior selectivity, low detection limit, and long‐term stability.
