Resonant statistical model of particle production
Il Nuovo Cimento, 1962The statistical model modified to include resonant interaction is discussed. It is shown that arbitrary mass-squared distributions calculated from Lorentz invariant phase space can be expressed as a product of two phase-space factors. Expressions arising in the modified model are reduced to either products of phase-space factors or simple integrals ...

Effects ofN*(1440) resonance on particle production in heavy-ion collisions at subthreshold energies
Physical Review C, 1994We study quantitatively the effects of the [ital N][sup *](1440) resonance on the production of kaons, antikaons, and antiprotons in heavy-ion collisions at subthreshold energies. It is found that baryon-baryon collisions involving the [ital N][sup *] have minor effects on the production of kaons and antikaons.

AbstractIn pH 7.2 Na2HPO4‐NaH2PO4 buffer solution, polyphenoloxidase (PPO) could catalyze the oxidization of dopamine (DA) to form polymer particles in dark‐red color, which exhibited a strong resonance scattering (RS) peak at 780 nm. In the chosen conditions, as the PPO activity increased, the RS intensity at 780 nm increased linearly.

IEEE Transactions on Appiled Superconductivity, 1995
Superconducting resonators for high beta particle accelerators are multicell structures made of niobium or of niobium-sputtered copper. In both cases the resonator bases are traditionally fabricated by spinning or deep drawing half-cells and electron-beam welding them together at the level of the equator; cells are then welded to one another at the ...

Abstract An overview is given over recent π 0 , π ± , η, K ± and p -production experiments performed at SIS where subthreshold production of η, K + and p has been observed. Systematics for particle spectra and production probabilities have been established and the importance of multi-step meson production processes involving baryon ...

Near-Threshold Particle Production: A Probe of Resonance-Matter Formation in Heavy-Ion Collisions
1994The observation of the lowest excited state of the nucleon, the Δ-resonance, by Fermi and collaborators1 in 1952–55 was the first experimental evidence for an internal structure of the nucleon. It took another 15 years until Friedman, Kendall and Taylor2 discovered quarks and gluons as constituents of the nucleon in their pioneering experiments on ...
