Measurement of the forward η meson production rate in p-p collisions at s $$ \sqrt{\textrm{s}} $$ = 13 TeV with the LHCf-Arm2 detector

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
The forward η mesons production has been observed by the Large Hadron Collider forward (LHCf) experiment in proton-proton collision at s $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 13 TeV. This paper presents the measurement of the inclusive production rate of η in p T < 1.1 GeV/c,

Preheating of Fermions

open access: yes, 1998
In inflationary cosmology, the particles constituting the Universe are created after inflation in the process of reheating due to their interaction with the oscillating inflaton field.

Tachyonic and parametric resonances for massive particle production in an intense scalar plane wave background

open access: yesPhysical Review D
We investigate the stability of an intensive plane wave of a massless or light scalar field ϕ in a trilinear scalar model gϕχ2 due to the resonant production of massive χ particles in a perturbatively forbidden regime. We apply two methods. First, we solve the Heisenberg equation for the quantum amplitudes of the field χ in an external plane wave ...

Analyzing Subvisible Particles in Protein Drug Products: a Comparison of Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) and Resonant Mass Measurement (RMM) [PDF]

open access: yesThe AAPS Journal, 2014
Aggregation is common in protein drug manufacture, and while the effects of protein particulates are under investigation, many techniques applicable for their characterization have been recently developed. Among the methods available to characterize and quantify protein aggregates, none is applicable over the full size range and different methods often

Measurement of the phase between strong and electromagnetic amplitudes in the decay J/ψ → ϕη

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
The first direct measurement of the relative phase between the strong and electromagnetic amplitudes for a J/ψ decaying into a vector-pseudoscalar final state is performed using 26 energy points of e + e − annihilation data between 3.00 GeV and 3.12 GeV.

A possible way to treat heavy baryon resonances for particle production on nuclei

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1992
Abstract Particle production in hadron-nucleus, nucleus-nucleus and proton-proton reactions is analyzed assuming heavy baryon resonance excitation. Using experimental data for backward particle production, some baryon excitation functions are deduced.

Hadronic resonances, strange and multi-strange particle production in Xe-Xe and Pb-Pb collisions with ALICE at the LHC [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics A, 2019
We present measurements of hadronic resonance, strange and multi-strange particle production in collisions of Xe-Xe and Pb-Pb at the center-of-mass energies of $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=5.44$ and $5.02$ TeV, respectively, by the ALICE collaboration at the LHC. Particle ratios are presented as a function of multiplicity for $K^{0}_{s}$, $Λ$, $Ξ^{-}$, $\barΞ^{+}$, $

Measurement of e + e − → ωη′ cross sections at s $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 2.000 to 3.080 GeV

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We measured the Born cross sections for the process e + e − → ωη′ at 22 center-of-mass energies from 2.000 to 3.080 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. We observed a resonant structure with a statistical significance of 9.6σ.

Hadronic Resonance Production with ALICE Experiment at LHC

open access: yes, 2013
The production of resonances in heavy-ion collisions is expected to be sensitive to the properties of strongly interacting matter created in such collisions. We report on the measurements of $\phi$ and $K^{*0}$ resonances in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{

Heavy ion collisions and lattice QCD at finite baryon density

open access: yes, 2004
We discuss a relation between the QCD thermodynamics obtained from a statistical analysis of particle production in heavy ion collisions at SPS and RHIC energies and recent LGT results at finite chemical potential.
