Particle boards from jute stick

Biological Wastes, 1987
Abstract A new process is described for the utilization of Jute Stick, in the preparation of a variety of boards, usable purpose such as in furniture, table tops, building materials, partitioning, false ceilings, etc. The possible relevance of the process to the rural economy is emphasized.

Adhesive-Free, Light, and Strong Particle Board

Nano Letters
Wood particle boards are massively used in construction and household products. But they often raise health and environmental concerns because of the formaldehyde-based adhesives. More sustainable and high-strength particle boards are developed on a bio-based materials or their derivatives.

Visual inspection of particle boards for quality assessment

IEEE International Conference on Image Processing 2005, 2005
The automatic visual inspection (AVI) systems are nowadays used with good results in a wide broad of applications. In particular we considered the problem of the defect detection of particle boards by means of a visual inspection of the printed surface.

Bullet Trajectory after Impact on Laminated Particle Board

Journal of Forensic Sciences, 2017
AbstractWhen reconstructing a bullet's trajectory prior to impact using the spatial orientation between two consecutive bullet defects (e.g., by probing), it is important to take the bullet's deflection into account. The (critical) ricochet angles as well as the vertical and horizontal deflection angles of eight cartridge types on laminated particle ...

Pyrolysis kinetic study on waste particle residue from particle board industry

Journal of the Indian Academy of Wood Science, 2019
The particle board industry always generates huge fine-particle sanding wood waste (FPSW) that has very limited usage. In the present study, FPSW was pyrolyzed in a thermogravimetric analyzer at room temperature to 650 °C with heating rates of 5, 10, and 15 °C min−1 in a highly purified N2 atmosphere.

Production of particle boards from bioresources

Bioresource Technology, 2000
Particle boards of 1.2 cm thickness were prepared from rubber seed pod, cashewnut shell, and their blends, using an adhesive resin based on cashewnut-shell liquid. Performance evaluation showed that the boards satisfied the ASTM specifications for construction-grade building boards.

Production of particle boards from cottonseed hulls

Agricultural Wastes, 1985
Abstract A process for the utilisation of cottonseed hulls for the production of particle board is described. In this process, cottonseed hulls are reduced in size, mixed with a suitable resin binder and catalyst and pressed between the heated platens of a press under known pressure and temperature to form the boards.

Particle board from sunflower stalks: Preliminary trials

Bioresource Technology, 1996
Laboratory trials were undertaken to determine the suitability of sunflower stalks from Sudan as a basic raw material for particle board using phenol-formaldehyde resin as a binder. The experimental parameters varied were raw material density and type (whole and depithed stalks, wood shavings), resin content, board density and layers.
