Statistical properties of many-particle spectra. II. Two-point correlations and fluctuations
Annals of Physics, 1978Abstract The two-point correlation function for complex spectra described by the Gaussian Orthogonal Ensemble (GOE) is calculated, and its essential simplicity displayed, by an elementary procedure which derives from orthogonal invariance and the dominance of intrinsic binary correlations. The resultant function is used for an approximate calculation

Complexity, Correlations and Fluctuations in Many-Particle Systems
1995After 40 years of imaginative developments in many-body theory there seem to be new opportunities for insights based on recent research in chaos and an ill-defined subject often called complexity. We can mention that complexity is different from “complicated”.

Transmission fluctuation Spectrometry with temporal or spatial correlation is being developed as a new method of particle size analysis, in which the particle size distribution and particle concentration can be measured simultaneously. Based on the assumption of low particle concentrations, an analytical expression of the transmission fluctuation ...

Fluctuation velocity correlation closure model for dense gas-particle turbulent flow
Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University (Science), 2012Turbulence model of kg-ɛg-kp-ɛp-kpg-θ is proposed. In the model, the two-phase velocity correlation turbulent kinetic energy kpg is modeled by transport equation. To close this turbulence model, algebraic expressions of two-phase Reynolds stresses and two-phase velocity correlation variable are established by considering both gas-particle interaction ...

AbstractTransmission fluctuation spectrometry with temporal correlation (TFS‐TC) is a new method for particle analysis. When a narrow light beam irradiates on a particle dispersion flow, the variation of the number of particles in the small measuring zone will cause the transmitted light to fluctuate, which includes the complete information on both ...

The class of models that we consider here can be generally described as a finite number of random walks on the lattice \(\mathbb{Z}^\nu\), in dynamic interaction with a fluctuating field (environment) \(\{\xi_t(x): t\in \mathbb{Z}_+, x \in \mathbb{Z}^\nu\}\) which takes values in a finite set \(S : \xi_t(x) \in S\). Time is discrete: \(t \in Z_+\). The
