Fermi Decay of Higher Spin Particles

Physical Review, 1957
The explicit form for the spin projection operators introduced by Fronsdal is calculated for arbitrary spin and applied to first-order processes involving four fermions. The matrix element for the most general nonderivative interaction is found for the special case in which two of the particles have spin \textonehalf{}.

Particle decay and fission

Journal of Physics G: Nuclear and Particle Physics, 1989
Consideration of the coupling between discrete and continuous states of the nuclear system in a straightforward manner entails a unified description of particle decay and fission. The particle width consists of two terms, one of which corresponds to the standard term of R-matrix theory and the other one originates from the feedback of the continuum to ...

Decay of the Cascade Particles

Physical Review, 1959
A phenomenological investigation of the decay of the cascade particles is presented. Several possible correlation measurements, which exploit the large asymmetry in DELTA /sup o/ decay as an analyzer of XI , are suggested. One of these experiments does not require polarized XI 's.

Beta decay of hyperons via K′-particle

Il Nuovo Cimento, 1962
The β-decay rate of the hyperons and thel eptonic decay rates of the kaon are calculated in an intermediate boson picture, where the intermediary boson is the K′ particle. A numerical estimate of the coupling constants is also made, though of preliminary nature.
