The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Measurement of the top quark charge in pp collisions at s√=7 TeV with the ATLAS detector [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
A measurement of the top quark electric charge is carried out in the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider using 2.05 fb−1 of data at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. In units of the elementary electric charge, the top quark charge is determined

Coordinate-sensitive charged particle detector for spectroscopy

open access: yesTekhnologiya i Konstruirovanie v Elektronnoi Apparature, 2016
The authors have designed, manufactured and tested a coordinate-sensitive detector for charged particle spectroscopy. The detector can be used in the devices for the elemental analysis of materials, providing simultaneous analysis of all the elemental ...

Performance of the Horizon-10T detector system in Physics Run 1 [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2019
This article overviews the performance of the Horizon-10T (H10T) detector system in Physics Run 1. The upgraded H10T detector system consists of ten charged particle detection points, separated by distances from a hundred meters up to 1.3 kilometer and ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Measurement of the inelastic proton–proton cross-section at √s=7 TeV with the ATLAS Detector [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
A first measurement of the inelastic cross-section is presented for proton-proton collisions at a center of mass energy √ =7 TeV using the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. In a dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 20 µb<sup&

Non-Gaussianity as a particle detector

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2016
We study the imprints of massive particles with spin on cosmological correlators. Using the framework of the effective field theory of inflation, we classify the couplings of these particles to the Goldstone boson of broken time translations and the graviton.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Measurement of charged particle multiplicities and densities in pp collisions at √s=7 TeV in the forward region [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Charged particle multiplicities are studied in proton-proton collisions in the forward region at a centre-of-mass energy of √s = 7 TeV with data collected by the LHCb detector.

Reconstruction of physics objects at the Circular Electron Positron Collider with Arbor

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2018
After the Higgs discovery, precise measurements of the Higgs properties and the electroweak observables become vital for the experimental particle physics. A powerful Higgs/Z factory, the Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) is proposed.
