Continuous and discrete space particle filters for predictions in acoustic positioning.
Predicting the future state of a random dynamic signal based on corrupted, distorted, and partial observations is vital for proper real-time control of a system that includes time delay.

The crystal structure of Borrelia burgdorferi nicotinamidase (PncA/BBE22) reveals the correct full‐length protein initiated from a non‐canonical AUU start codon. The structure validates previous biochemical findings and resolves a long‐standing annotation error, demonstrating that the truncated database sequence is structurally incompatible with the ...

Implementation of unknown parameter estimation procedure for hybrid and discrete non‐linear systems
The application of the hybrid extended Kalman filter (HEKF), hybrid unscented Kalman filter (HUKF), hybrid particle filter (HPF), and hybrid extended Kalman particle filter (HEKPF) is discussed for hybrid non‐linear filter problems, when prediction ...

In this paper, we consider the problem of filtering in relational hidden Markov models. We present a compact representation for such models and an associated logical particle filtering algorithm. Each particle contains a logical formula that describes a set of states.

Directed evolution of enzymes at the crossroads of tradition and innovation
An iterative cycle of data‐driven enzyme optimization comprising four stages: genetic diversification of a template enzyme, expression of protein variants, high‐throughput evaluation, and machine‐learning‐guided redesign of the next variant library.

The effects of media size on the performance of biological aerated filters
Biological aerated filters (BAFs) are an attractive process option, particularly when low land usage is required. They can combine BOD, solids and ammoniacal nitrogen removal and can be utilised at both secondary and tertiary stages of wastewater ...

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

Distributional Clauses Particle Filter [PDF]
We review the Distributional Clauses Particle Filter (DCPF), a statistical relational framework for inference in hybrid domains over time such as vision and robotics. Applications in these domains are challenging for statistical relational learning as they require dealing with continuous distributions and dynamics in real-time.

Loss of AMBRA1 activates MAPK and angiogenesis signaling pathways in melanoma cells
Loss of AMBRA1 in melanoma cells activates multiple oncogenic pathways associated with tumor progression. Transcriptomic and protein network analyses revealed that AMBRA1 depletion enhances MAPK/ERK signaling, angiogenesis, TGF‐β/EMT signaling, and Wnt/axon guidance pathways.
