Unsupervised Particle Image Velocimetry Network Based on Improved LiteFlowNet3 with Embedded Cross-correlation and H-RAMi Attention Mechanism [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Fluid Mechanics
Unsupervised particle image velocimetry (PIV) methods eliminate the need for extensive labeled datasets, yet their performance in complex flow regions, such as those with particle occlusion or out-of-boundary motion, remains limited.

Experimental study of the flow field in patient specific lower airways [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
In this study Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) is used to visualize and measure airflow in the lower airways. Using Rapid Prototyping Manufacturing (RPM) technology, a hydraulic in vitro model was developed and constructed.

Ejecta‐Modulated Bubble Dynamics Play a Dominant Role in Stone Retropulsion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Stone motion during laser ablation is shown to result primarily from asymmetric cavitation bubble collapse, not from ejecta recoil. This challenges long‐standing assumptions and highlights the dominant role of bubble dynamics in laser–material interactions.

X-Ray imaging method for in-situ study of particle-laden flows

open access: yese-Journal of Nondestructive Testing
The accurate measurement of flow parameters often depends on sensor accessibility. Optical flow assessment techniques, such as Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and Particle Tracking Velocimetry (PTV), are limited to optically transparent media. However,
