An Improved Sequential Smoothing Particle Filtering Method
In order to cope with the challenges of non-cooperative targets such as stealth targets to modern radar, especially when traditional threshold detection and tracking methods can hardly detect fast-moving stealth targets, technological innovation has long

The remapped particle-mesh advection scheme
We describe the remapped particle-mesh method, a new mass-conserving method for solving the density equation which is suitable for combining with semi-Lagrangian methods for compressible flow applied to numerical weather prediction.

A Particle Method without Remeshing
We propose a simple tweak to a recently developed regularisation scheme for particle methods. This allows us to chose the particle spacing $h$ proportional to the regularisation length $σ$ and achieve optimal error bounds of the form $\mathcal{O}(σ^n)$, $n\in\mathbb{N}$, without any need of remeshing.

Experimental and numerical study of settling of dual cubes released side-by-side
In this study, the settling behaviour of two cubes and two spheres released side-by-side in a quiescent fluid is investigated through both experimental and numerical simulation approaches.

Particle Projection Using a Complex Langevin Method
Using complex stochastic quantization, we implement a particle-number projection technique on the partition function of spin-1/2 fermions at finite temperature on the lattice.

Experimental investigation of particle concentration using mass and optical methods
Devices of various design and measuring methods are applied for determining particle matter (PM) concentration. Therefore, it is important to know measuring precision of different measuring devices.

Improved procedure for the computation of Lamb's coefficients in the Physalis method for particle simulation [PDF]
The Physalis method is suitable for the simulation of flows with suspended spherical particles. It differs from standard immersed boundary methods due to the use of a local spectral representation of the solution in the neighborhood of each particle ...

A computer method of particle identification
Abstract A particle identification method is presented, in which calculations of ΔE energy losses are stored in computer memory and compared with experimental event by event data.

Sequential Bearings-Only-Tracking Initiation with Particle Filtering Method
The tracking initiation problem is examined in the context of autonomous bearings-only-tracking (BOT) of a single appearing/disappearing target in the presence of clutter measurements.

The magnetic excitation spectra in BaFe$_{2}$As$_{2}$: a two-particle approach within DFT+DMFT
We study the magnetic excitation spectra in the paramagnetic state of BaFe$_{2}$As$_{2}$ from the \textit{ab initio} perspective. The one-particle excitation spectrum is determined within the combination of the density functional theory and the dynamical
