Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Effect of particle shape on the liquefaction resistance of calcareous sands
Soil Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering, 2020The irregular particle shape is the significant feature of calcareous sands. It is known that calcareous sands generally show a higher liquefaction resistance than that of quartz sands, but the contribution of particle shape to the liquefaction ...

Mineral Processing and Extractive Metallurgy Review, 2005
The various types of particle shape, morphology, texture, and particle angularity descriptors that are applicable and useful in different grinding methods with respect to various geometric measures existing in image analysis software are presented and reviewed. In addition, some disadvantages of such descriptors are discussed.
