Potential sources and processes affecting speciated atmospheric mercury at Kejimkujik National Park, Canada: comparison of receptor models and data treatment methods [PDF]
Source apportionment analysis was conducted with positive matrix factorization (PMF) and principal component analysis (PCA) methods using concentrations of speciated mercury (Hg), i.e., gaseous elemental mercury (GEM), gaseous oxidized mercury (GOM), and

A Biosourced and Self‐Healable Polymer Electrolyte for Potassium Batteries
A biosourced lignin‐filled gel polymer electrolyte combines suppressed crystallinity, high ionic conductivity, and UPy‐driven self‐healing for potassium batteries. The optimized formulation sustains long‐term cycling with 97.5% capacity retention after 1000 cycles and preserves electrochemical operation after intentional membrane damage.

Terrestrial organic matter biomarkers as tracers of Hg sources in lake sediments [PDF]
Terrestrial organic matter (TOM) plays a key role in mercury (Hg) dynamics between watersheds and lakes. In this study we attempts to determine the role of TOM source and quality and not only quantity, in the fate and transport of total Hg (T-Hg) to ...

Atmospheric mercury deposition over the land surfaces and the associated uncertainties in observations and simulations: a critical review [PDF]
One of the most important processes in the global mercury (Hg) biogeochemical cycling is the deposition of atmospheric Hg, including gaseous elemental mercury (GEM), gaseous oxidized mercury (GOM), and particulate-bound mercury (PBM), to the land ...

Particulate Mercury and Particulate Organic Matter in the Itenez Basin (Bolivia)
In rivers and other freshwater bodies, the presence of mercury can be due to direct contamination by anthropic activities such as gold mining. However, it can also be attributed to atmospheric deposition and erosion, runoff, or lixiviation from ...
