Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

WAVE FUNCTION TO PARTITION FUNCTION: A CORRELATION [PDF]
In this note the statistical thermodynamics is correlated to wave function through mathematical probability. The note can be subdivided into two following portions.STATISTICS -THE BASIC OF STATISTICAL THERMODYNAMICS: A CORRELATION and PROBABILITY -A THE ...

The disk partition function in string theory
We investigate the disk partition function for the open string. This is a subtle problem because of the presence of a residual gauge group PSL(2, ℝ) on the worldsheet even after fixing the conformal gauge.

Dissecting the Stanley partition function
Let p(n) denote the number of unrestricted partitions of n. For i=0, 2, let p[i](n) denote the number of partitions pi of n such that O(pi) - O(pi') = i mod 4. Here O(pi) denotes the number of odd parts of the partition pi and pi' is the conjugate of pi. R. Stanley [13], [14] derived an infinite product representation for the generating function of p[0]

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

The Core of a Partition Function Game [PDF]
We consider partition function games and introduce new defini-tions of the core that include the effects of externalities. We assume that all players behave rationally and that all stable outcomes arising are consistent with the appropriate generalised ...

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

The p- partition generating function and the quasisymmetric basis [PDF]
An acyclic directed graph can be viewed as a (labelled) poset (P,ω). To the latter, one can associate a (P,ω)-partition generating function which is a quasisymmetric function.

Thermodynamics of Observations
This work demonstrates that the four laws of classical thermodynamics apply to the statistics of symmetric observation distributions, and provides examples of how this can be exploited in uncertainty assessments.
