Trace metal concentration and speciation in storm water runoff on impervious surfaces
Urban storm water runoff (USWR) often transports various trace metals, affecting the quality of receiving waters. Metal concentration and speciation in USWR were investigated by analysing data collected during a storm event on 19 July 2012.

We introduce a new concept, which we call partition expanders. The basic idea is to study quantitative properties of graphs in a slightly different way than it is in the standard definition of expanders. While in the definition of expanders it is required that the number of edges between any pair of sufficiently large sets is close to the expected ...

Acoustic and visual optimization in the configuration of exhibition space partitioning
For museum and other exhibition designers, partitions are a crucial element in showcasing exhibition content. The massive partitions also serve to aid the acoustic performance of the space, by isolating the audio content. allowing visitors to better hear

Evaluation of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) seed inoculation with rhizobium strains and plant promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) on growth indices and photoassimilate partitioning under rainfed and irrigated conditions [PDF]
This experiment was carried out to evaluate the effect of rhizobium strains and plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) on dry matter partitioning and some growth parameters of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) Arman cultivar. This research was conducted

An Introduction to Recursive Partitioning: Rationale, Application and Characteristics of Classification and Regression Trees, Bagging and Random Forests [PDF]
Recursive partitioning methods have become popular and widely used tools for nonparametric regression and classification in many scientific fields. Especially random forests, that can deal with large numbers of predictor variables even in the presence of

Plane Partitions as Sums over Partitions
In this paper, we consider complete homogeneous symmetric functions and provide a new formula for the number of plane partitions of n. This formula expresses the number of plane partitions of n in terms of binomial coefficients as a sum over all the partitions of n, considering the multiplicity of the parts greater than one.
