The completion of locally refined simplicial partitions created by bisection

open access: yesMathematics of Computation, 2008
Recently, in [Found. Comput. Math., 7(2) (2007), 245-269], we proved that an adaptive finite element method based on newest vertex bisection in two space dimensions for solving elliptic equations, which is essentially the method from [SINUM, 38 (2000 ...

Branchings and partitions [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1975
A generating function is obtained for the number of partitions corresponding to a complete branching on a nonincreasing sequence of n n

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

POWER PARTITIONS AND SEMI--FIBONACCI PARTITIONS

open access: yesBulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society, 2020
Andrews [‘Binary and semi-Fibonacci partitions’, J. Ramanujan Soc. Math. Math. Sci.7(1) (2019), 1–6] recently proved a new identity between the cardinalities of the set of semi-Fibonacci partitions and the set of partitions into powers of 2 with all parts appearing an odd number of times.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

The Homological Nature of Entropy

open access: yesEntropy, 2015
We propose that entropy is a universal co-homological class in a theory associated to a family of observable quantities and a family of probability distributions.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Highly restricted partitions

open access: yes, 1969
The function g (n, m, h, k) , which enumerates the number of partitions of n into exactly k summands each less than or equal to m and in which the number of different summands is exactly h, is here tabulated and ...
