ABSTRACT This paper focuses on how street‐level bureaucrats understand and manage information in their interactions with clients in the context of so‐called open‐book services, where digital tools make it possible for clients to easily access documentation conventionally viewed as internal work material for professionals' eyes only.

Nuclear parton distributions [PDF]
We review a microscopic model of the nuclear parton distribution functions, which accounts for a number of nuclear effects including Fermi motion and nuclear binding, nuclear meson-exchange currents, off-shell corrections to bound nucleon distributions and nuclear shadowing.

Higgsstrahlung at NNLL′+NNLO matched to parton showers in GENEVA [PDF]
We present results for the Higgsstrahlung process within the GENEVA Monte Carlo framework. We combine the fully differential NNLO calculation with the higher-order resummation in the 0-jettiness resolution variable (beam-thrust).

Abstract We investigated the effect of internal and external cooling on high‐intensity intermittent cycling performance and cognitive function in the heat. Twenty‐nine males completed a control trial (CON) and a cooling trial (ice slurry and ice collar; COOL) in the heat (33°C, 50% relative humidity) involving a 40 min intermittent cycling protocol ...

A Stochastic Approach to Quantifying the Propagation of Uncertainty in Soil Organic Carbon Content
ABSTRACT Background Precision agriculture (PA) is a site‐specific management approach that utilises spatiotemporal information to improve productivity while also promoting sustainability. Accurate estimates of soil properties, along with the uncertainty of these estimates, are necessary for decision‐making in PA.

Collinear and Transverse Momentum Dependent parton densities obtained with a Parton Branching Method
We present a solution of the DGLAP evolution equations, written in terms of Sudakov form factors to describe the branching and no-branching probabilities, using a parton branching Monte Carlo method. We demonstrate numerically that this method reproduces

Transverse momentum in double parton scattering: factorisation, evolution and matching
We give a description of double parton scattering with measured transverse momenta in the final state, extending the formalism for factorisation and resummation developed by Collins, Soper and Sterman for the production of colourless particles.

Quantum Spin Liquids Stabilized by Disorder in Non‐Kramers Pyrochlores
This study explores how random structural disorder induces a quantum spin‐liquid phase in non‐Kramers pyrochlore oxides. Using a real‐space gauge mean‐field approach to the random transverse‐field Ising model, we demonstrate that the quantum spin ice appears and remains remarkably robust against disorder, with only a narrow Griffiths region near the ...

Open Charm Production in an Equilibrating Parton Plasma
Open charm production during the equilibration of a gluon dominated parton plasma is calculated, with both the time-dependent temperature and parton densities given by a set of rate equations.
