Calculations with off-shell matrix elements, TMD parton densities and TMD parton showers
A new calculation using off-shell matrix elements with TMD parton densities supplemented with a newly developed initial state TMD parton shower is described.

PARTONS: PARtonic Tomography Of Nucleon Software [PDF]
Abstract We describe the architecture and functionalities of a C++ software framework, coined PARTONS, dedicated to the phenomenology of Generalized Parton Distributions. These distributions describe the three-dimensional structure of hadrons in terms of quarks and gluons, and can be accessed in deeply exclusive lepto- or photo-production of mesons or ...

Anisotropic parton escape is the dominant source of azimuthal anisotropy in transport models
We trace the development of azimuthal anisotropy (vn, n=2,3) via parton–parton collision history in two transport models. The parton vn is studied as a function of the number of collisions of each parton in Au + Au and d+Au collisions at sNN=200 GeV.

Double parton distributions out of bounds in colour space
We investigate the positivity of double parton distributions with a non-trivial dependence on the parton colour. It turns out that positivity is not preserved by leading-order evolution from lower to higher scales, in contrast to the case in which parton

NLO QCD+NLO EW corrections to diboson production matched to parton shower [PDF]
We present the matching of NLO QCD and NLO EW corrections to parton showers for vector-boson pair production at the LHC. We consider leptonic final states, including resonant and non-resonant diagrams, spin correlations and off-shell effects. Our results

Book Review: Paul Michael Garrett, Social work and social theory: Making connections. The Policy Press: Bristol, 2013, ISBN 9781847429605 [PDF]
It is important to state at the outset that I enjoyed this book, or at least large sections of it, but I also found it rather frustrating. The book is made up of 11 chapters and following an introductory chapter, is split into two parts.

Summations of large logarithms by parton showers [PDF]
We propose a method to examine how a parton shower sums large logarithms. In this method, one works with an appropriate integral transform of the distribution for the observable of interest.

Unintegrated parton distributions [PDF]
We describe how to calculate the parton distributions $f_a(x, k_t^2, ^2)$, unintegrated over the parton transverse momentum $k_t$, from auxiliary functions $h_a(x, k_t^2)$, which satisfy single-scale evolution equations. The formalism embodies both DGLAP and BFKL contributions, and accounts for the angular ordering which comes from coherence effects ...

Parton Distribution Functions, $\alpha_s$ and Heavy-Quark Masses for LHC Run II [PDF]
We determine a new set of parton distribution functions (ABMP16), the strong coupling constant $\alpha_s$ and the quark masses $m_c$, $m_b$ and $m_t$ in a global fit to next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) in QCD. The analysis uses the $\overline{\mathrm{

MiNNLOPS: a new method to match NNLO QCD to parton showers [PDF]
We present a novel method to combine QCD calculations at next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) with parton shower (PS) simulations, that can be applied to the production of heavy systems in hadronic collisions, such as colour singlets or a tt ...
