Supervision as a Dispersed Practice: Exploring the Creation of Supervisory Spaces in Day‐to‐Day Social Work Practice

open access: yesChild &Family Social Work, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Supervision is integral to social work practice; however, how it operates in day‐to‐day practice remains poorly understood. Existing research mainly comprises quantitative and qualitative accounts of social workers' and supervisors' experiences of supervision.

CTEQ-TEA parton distribution functions with intrinsic charm

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
We present a study in which the possibility of a (sizable) nonperturbative contribution to the charm parton distribution function (PDF) in a nucleon is investigated together with theoretical issues arising in its interpretation.

Performance, cardioventilatory and perceptual responses to perceived opponent ability during head‐to‐head cycling competition

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract We aimed to investigate whether cycling competition influences performance and pacing compared to an individual time trial. The second aim was to determine whether performance is further influenced by deceptive or accurate augmented feedback, delivered as an opponent riding at 2% higher power outputs than a previous competitive time trial ...

Transverse parton distribution and fragmentation functions at NNLO: the quark case [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We revisit the calculation of perturbative quark transverse momentum de- pendent parton distribution functions and fragmentation functions using the exponential regulator for rapidity divergences.

DETERMINATION OF PARTON DISTRIBUTION FUNCTIONS IN NUCLEI [PDF]

open access: yesNon-Perturbative QCD, 2002
Nuclear parton distribution functions are obtained by a chi^2 analysis of lepton deep inelastic experimental data. It is possible to determine valence-quark distributions at medium x and antiquark distributions at small x; however, the distributions in other x regions and gluon distributions cannot be fixed.

The development of ‘assembly line principles’ in Swedish child welfare: Long‐serving social workers' experiences of phase specialisation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Social Welfare, Volume 35, Issue 4, October 2026.
Abstract The child welfare system has increasingly adopted phase specialisation, in Sweden and internationally, dividing work into distinct stages. This study examines these changes through the retrospective perspectives of 15 long‐serving child welfare professionals, highlighting three key organisational shifts: the separation of statutory and ...

NNLO interpolation grids for jet production at the LHC

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2022
Fast interpolation-grid frameworks facilitate an efficient and flexible evaluation of higher-order predictions for any choice of parton distribution functions or value of the strong coupling $$\alpha _{\mathrm {s}}$$ α s .

Transverse parton distribution and fragmentation functions at NNLO: the gluon case [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We calculate in this paper the perturbative gluon transverse momentum dependent parton distribution functions (TMDPDFs) and fragmentation functions (TMDFFs) using the exponential regulator for rapidity divergences.

An ecology of moral infrastructure: Canadian social work ethics, 1940–2024

open access: yesInternational Journal of Social Welfare, Volume 35, Issue 4, October 2026.
Abstract Social work is held to be unified by a stable, coherent value base across time and jurisdiction. Drawing on articulation theory and infrastructure studies, this paper provides the first systematic historical analysis of eight Canadian Association of Social Workers codes (1940–2024) as assembled within an ecology of moral infrastructure ...
