PARTONIC INTERPRETATION OF GENERALIZED PARTON DISTRIBUTIONS [PDF]
Dispersion relations have been applied to hard exclusive processes suggesting that generalized parton distributions can be fully determined from their values on a kinematical ridge. We show significant pitfalls associated that vitiate this approach. We suggest an improved treatment of this assumption.

ATLAS search for new phenomena in dijet mass and angular distributions using pp collisions at s√=7 TeV [PDF]
Mass and angular distributions of dijets produced in LHC proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy s√=7 TeV have been studied with the ATLAS detector using the full 2011 data set with an integrated luminosity of 4.8 fb−1. Dijet masses up to ~ 4.

Double parton distributions out of bounds in colour space
We investigate the positivity of double parton distributions with a non-trivial dependence on the parton colour. It turns out that positivity is not preserved by leading-order evolution from lower to higher scales, in contrast to the case in which parton

Multi-parton distributions in a proton, the nonperturbative quantities needed to make predictions for multiple scattering rates, are poorly constrained from theory and data and must be modelled.

We discuss the determination of the parton substructure of hadrons by casting it as a peculiar form of pattern recognition problem in which the pattern is a probability distribution, and we present the way this problem has been tackled and solved. Specifically, we review the NNPDF approach to PDF determination, which is based on the combination of a ...

Future Tests of Parton Distributions [PDF]
We discuss a test of the generalization power of the methodology used in the determination of parton distribution functions (PDFs). The "future test" checks whether the uncertainty on PDFs, in regions in which they are not constrained by current data, are compatible with future data.
