Projective symmetry of partons in Kitaev's honeycomb model
Low-energy states of quantum spin liquids are thought to involve partons living in a gauge-field background. We study the spectrum of Majorana fermions of Kitaev's honeycomb model on spherical clusters.

Abstract Riverine dissolved organic carbon (DOC), primarily sourced from soil organic carbon (SOC), plays a crucial role in regional and global carbon cycles. However, the complexities of the underlying mechanisms and limited observations present significant challenges for predictive understanding of DOC at regional or larger scales.

Evolution of colour correlated double parton distributions: a quantitative study
Double parton distributions satisfy the same evolution equations as ordinary single-parton densities, provided that the colours of the two partons are uncorrelated.

QGP hydrodynamical study using energy-momentum in-medium deposition by an extended source.
The quark-gluon plasma (QGP) is created under extreme conditions, such as the ones prevailing in heavy ion collisions. The characterization of the QGP can be done using high-pT probes such as the partons that are created through hard scatterings in the ...

Hadron yields from thermalized minijets at RHIC and LHC [PDF]
We calculate the yields of pions, kaons, and Æ-mesons for RHIC and LHC energies assuming thermodynamical equilibration of the produced minijets, and using as input results from pQCD for the energy densities at midrapidity.

Effects of Minijets on Hadronic Spectra and Azimuthal Harmonics in Au-Au Collisions at 200 GeV
The production of hadrons in heavy-ion collisions at RHIC in the low transverse-momentum ($p_T$) region is investigated in the recombination model with emphasis on the effects of minijets on the azimuthal anisotropy.

Quantum Spin Liquids Stabilized by Disorder in Non‐Kramers Pyrochlores
This study explores how random structural disorder induces a quantum spin‐liquid phase in non‐Kramers pyrochlore oxides. Using a real‐space gauge mean‐field approach to the random transverse‐field Ising model, we demonstrate that the quantum spin ice appears and remains remarkably robust against disorder, with only a narrow Griffiths region near the ...

Brane Partons and Singleton Strings
We examine p-branes in AdS(D) in two limits where they exhibit partonic behavior: rotating branes with energy concentrated to cusp-like solitons; tensionless branes with energy distributed over singletonic partons on the Dirac hypercone.

Spin correlations in parton-parton scattering
Abstract The sum over the helicities of partons in QCD jet production gives rise to quantum mechanical interference effects, leading to correlations between the azimuthal angles of the branching planes of partons within jet cascades. In this paper, it is shown how to extend previous work on calculating correlations within a jet to the case of parton ...
