Besides a handwritten inscription on a leaf included in the Original Collection of the Pensees, on the back of notes intended for the controversies against the Jesuits, we know nearly nothing of Pascal’s working techniques and of the genesis of his main mathematical writings. AbstractCoroutines are routines which communicate with each other in a more general way than that provided by the normal subroutine mechanism. Although they have many potential applications, their use has been restricted by their lack of availability in common high‐level languages.

From Pascal to Delphi to Object Pascal-2000
ACM SIGPLAN Notices, 2001The evolution of Pascal to Delphi, the powerful and elegant features of that language and RAD environment are discussed. Yet the evolution was not smooth, some inconsistencies and glitches built up. So the next version of the language named Object Pascal 2000 is suggested.

Parallel pascal: An extended pascal for parallel computers
Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing, 1984Parallel Pascal is an extended version of the conventional serial Pascal programming language which includes a convenient syntax for specifying array operations. It is upward compatible with standard Pascal and involves only a small number of carefully chosen new features. Parallel Pascal was developed to reduce the semantic gap between standard Pascal

Even though Pascal is a popular teaching language, it has the disadvantage that it imposes a variety of semantic and syntactic restrictions upon its users. This paper offers a solution to one part of the problem by providing a more helpful syntax. In particular, the new syntax encourages the expression of algorithms in a top-down manner. Implementation

The design of a pascal compiler
Software: Practice and Experience, 1971AbstractThe development of a compiler for the programming language PASCAL1 is described in some detail. Design decisions concerning the layout of program and data, the organization of the compiler including its syntax analyser, and the over‐all approach to the project are discussed.
