Magnetic structure determination of multiple phases in the multiferroic candidate GdCrO3

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section B, EarlyView.
Using neutron powder diffraction, the successive magnetic structures in multiferroic candidate GdCrO3 have been determined, including a complex incommensurate phase below 2.3 K. The symmetry analysis uses a combination of little group formalism and superspace group approach highlighting the strength of each method and the results are reported using the

MacaqueNet: Advancing comparative behavioural research through large‐scale collaboration

open access: yesJournal of Animal Ecology, Volume 94, Issue 4, Page 519-534, April 2025.
We present MacaqueNet, a global community of macaque researchers who developed the first publicly searchable, standardised database on affiliative and agonistic behaviour. This cross‐species database facilitates comparative research into the eco‐evolutionary drivers of animal behaviour. We describe its management and share its resources as a replicable

It's time to go—Drivers and plasticity of migration phenology in a short‐distance migratory ungulate

open access: yesJournal of Animal Ecology, EarlyView.
In thishis study, we reveal how vegetation phenology and snow dynamics drive the timing of migration in a short‐distance migratory ungulate inhabiting the Alps. Differences appeared between sexes, suggesting that female ibex could be constrained in their migration timing because of parturition, questioning the consequences of rapid climate change in ...

Responses of naturalized alien plants to soil heterogeneity and competition vary with the global naturalization success of the native competitors

open access: yesJournal of Ecology, EarlyView.
Soil heterogeneity has been found to promote the invasion success of alien plants over native plants. However, native species may themselves be naturalized alien species elsewhere. Our experimental study shows that soil heterogeneity does not always promote alien plants over native plants.
