Creditors are often passive because they are reluctant to show bad debts on their own balance sheets. We propose a simple general equilibrium model to study the externality effect of creditor passivity. The model yields rich insights into the phenomenon of creditor passivity, both in transition and developed market economies.

Influence of zinc injection on deposition of corrosion products on inner wall of heat transfer tube
The zinc injection process has been widely used in the primary coolant of PWR nuclear power plants. This study explored its effect in the water coolant of fusion reactors.

Study on the Effect of Jet Position and Size on Heat Transfer in a Small Containment
In the main steam line break (MSLB) accident, the rise in temperature and pressure threatens the integrity of the containment, which is caused by a large amount of mixed gas injected into the containment rapidly.

Effect of Chrome and Vanadium on the Behavior of Hydrogen and Helium in Tungsten
Tungsten is a promising material for nuclear fusion reactors, but its performance can be degraded by the accumulation of hydrogen (H) and helium (He) isotopes produced by nuclear reactions.

Before 1980 the argument that passive smoking was a serious health hazard was rather tenuous. It was claimed that it produced allergic reactions, impaired driving ability, reduced exercise tolerance in patients with cardiorespiratory disease and increased the risk of bronchitis and pneumonia in first-year children.

Accuracy and reproducibility of ambient topographies at the nanoscale by AFM: Several months of metrological monitoring [PDF]
With the high integration of microelectronic devices, nanoscale surface characterization is critical to process development. The widely used atomic force microscopy provides 2D characterization of the surface at the nanoscale.

Basics of evaluating the role of the judge in proving civil litigation [PDF]
In Islamic jurisprudence, jurists have provided criteria and cited various legal rules and principles in order to determine the applicant. The reason for the jurists for this distinction is that they can determine the burden of proving the dispute to the

In this paper we introduce a new notion of passivity which we call Krasovskii's passivity and provide a sufficient condition for a system to be Krasovskii's passive. Based on this condition, we investigate classes of port-Hamiltonian and gradient systems which are Krasovskii's passive.
