Range‐Free Localisation for Monostatic Passive Radar Employing Multi‐Narrowband Illuminators

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
Range‐free localisation is considered for monostatic passive radar with multiple narrowband illuminators under unreliable time‐delay (range) measurements. Doppler/DOA (and optional Doppler‐rate) are fused in an ML framework, where velocity is iteratively updated to reduce the original 6‐D optimisation to a 3‐D position search.

Synthetic Bistatic ISAR Imaging for Moving Targets With Prescribed Trajectories and Scattering Regimes: Validation With Passive Radar Data

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
The design of a bistatic inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) images simulator is described, as a response to the need of databases with classification purposes in bistatic radar scenarios characterized by numerous degrees of freedom.

Statistical Analysis of Bistatic Radar Ground Clutter for Different German Rural Environments

open access: yesSensors, 2020
This article presents the statistical analysis of bistatic radar rural ground clutter for different terrain types under low grazing angles. Compared to most state-of-the-art analysis, we present country-specific clutter analysis for subgroups of rural ...

RFI Suppression Method for High‐Frequency Passive Bistatic Radar Based on Angle‐Based High‐Order Singular Value Decomposition

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
We propose a multidomain joint orthogonal subspace projection algorithm based on angle‐based high‐order singular value decomposition (HOSVD). By constructing a three‐dimensional range‐Doppler‐angle tensor from multidirectional beamformed data, the method exploits the distinct spatial directivity and strong range correlation of the RFI to jointly ...

Structural Antennas for 3cm Radar Onboard Multi-Rotor UAV [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
A series of 3cm amateur band radar antennas suitable for installation on a cinematic grade multi-rotor UAV were considered. A wideband open waveguide mouth antenna was developed that can be made from the existing arms of a multi-rotor UAV without any ...

An Optically Transparent Transmissive Metasurface for User‐Defined Broadband Electromagnetic Illusion Generation

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 6, Issue 12, December 2025.
This work presents a transparent transmissive metasurface (TTM), designed using a conditional generative adversarial network to achieve broadband electromagnetic illusions. The proposed TTM ensures high optical transparency while precisely manipulating electromagnetic waves, demonstrating effectiveness in practical applications such as camouflage ...
