A hydrogel‐based airway‐on‐tube platform featuring a perfusable endothelial lumen and outward epithelialization is presented. The system supports primary human bronchial epithelial and lung microvascular endothelial coculture under air‐liquid interface conditions.

Chiral Metal Halide Perovskites for Spin‐Polarized Light‐Emitting Diodes

Chiral metal–halide perovskites offer a route to circularly polarized light without external polarizers. This Perspective compares two spin‐light emitting diode concepts: intrinsically chiral emissive layers and chiral spin‐filter interlayers that inject spin‐polarized carriers into efficient achiral emitters.

Conductive Hydrogels for Exogenous Sensing and Cell Fate Control

We engineer electrically conductive hydrogels by combining sulfated glycosaminoglycans with semiconducting polymers. These hydrogels bind bioactive proteins, including growth factors, whose release or retention can be modulated by low‐voltage stimulation. A pH‐responsive biomaterial interface integrates bactericidal peptides, cell‐recruiting peptides, and magnesium ions into a multifunctional system. Infection‐induced acidification triggers antimicrobial peptide release while cell‐recruiting peptides mobilize bone marrow stem cells.

Using a Zero‐Strain Reference Electrode to Distinguish Anode and Cathode Volume Changes in a Solid‐State Battery

Volume changes of a solid‐state battery cell are separated into the individual contributions of anode and cathode. Simultaneously determining the “reaction volumes” of both electrodes requires a reference electrode with a pressure‐independent potential.
