Inspired by skeletal muscles’ precision and endurance, CoilLCE integrates a self‐sensing liquid crystal elastomer/graphene artificial muscle with an embedded Joule‐heating copper coil, enabling closed‐loop multistage actuation with programmable intermediate states (strain accuracy of 2%), and antagonistic coordination (32% total strain). These features

Cell therapies typically rely on cold‐chain logistics and cryopreservation, limiting access and compromising cell quality. Here, a dual‐chamber device separates an oxygen‐supplying chamber from a hyaluronic acid cargo chamber, sustaining oxygen delivery for over 70 h and enabling ambient‐temperature shipment.

Design and modeling of the passive residual heat removal system for VVERs
The results and effects of the Fukushima Daiichi accident show that the passive safety systems, which require no user input in order to operate, are very significant in nuclear industry. Even after stopping the reactor, heat dissipation remains a primary

Establishment of bidirectional communication behavior between natural and artificial cells. The first type of communication from natural dendritic cells to artificial polymeric cells was achieved via ATP release after cell lysis. The released ATP was taken up via gated UV‐controlled permeability increase of the polymeric membrane for performing ...

Heat Removal Capacity of Heat Pipe Designs for In-Core Passive Decay Heat Removal System
A passive in-core cooling system (PINCs) can be adopted in control rods for passive safety of advanced nuclear power plants. A hybrid heat pipe is a heat transfer device to take the roles of both neutron absorption and heat removal by combining the ...

An Alhagi maurorum inspired hierarchical composite membrane (NFCu) was developed by integrating heavy metal remediation and solar‐driven interfacial evaporation in a single platform. Beyond the photothermal effect, a localized photocatalytic process is realized on the CuO surface, deepening the mechanistic understanding of light–matter–water ...

Top‐down ultrasonication produces highly emissive Cs2ZrCl6:Te4+ nanocrystals (NCs) with a PLQY of 65%, which is higher compared to that of the NCs synthesized by typical bottom‐up hot‐injection synthesis. The colloidal Cs2ZrCl6:Te4+ NCs have been found to be potential candidates for x‐ray scintillation imaging.
