Atomistic Insights Into Lithium Alloying and Crystallization at Metal Interlayers in Zero‐Excess Lithium Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Molecular dynamics simulations with machine learning potentials, combined with experiments, reveal how interlayer metals govern Li alloying and crystallization in zero‐excess lithium batteries. Mg and Zn promote solid‐solution alloy‐mediated pathways that influence Li diffusion and structural uniformity, while Bi forms ordered intermetallics with more ...

An islanding detection and control algorithm based on CVFR for Voltage Source Converter in CIGRE LV Network

open access: yesPakistan Journal of Engineering Technology & Science
Distributed Generators (DGs) are extensively used as Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) and are now an integral part of modern distribution systems. Although these DGs improve the voltage profile and reduce power losses, they have introduced challenges

Investigation Into the Electrochemical Performance of Micron‐ and Nanosized Tin in Diglyme and Carbonate Electrolytes in Sodium Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This study compares Sn particles of different sizes in NIBs using carbonate‐ and diglyme‐based electrolytes. Diglyme electrolytes enable stable cycling despite large volume changes, while carbonate electrolytes degrade rapidly, especially with nanoparticles.

Analysis of islanding detection capabilities of multi-inverter systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Islanding is one important concern for grid connected distributed resources due to personnel and equipment safety. Inverter-resident islanding detection methods (IDMs) employ locally measured parameters to detect islanding. Passive type IDMs only monitor

A Compact Hollow Fiber Electrode Assembly Architecture for Continuous Electrochemical Marine Carbon Dioxide Removal

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A coaxial, membrane‐integrated hollow fiber electrode assembly (HFEA) is developed for continuous marine carbon mineralization. By utilizing a sub‐millimeter inter‐electrode gap, the HFEA minimizes Ohmic losses, achieving 50% energy reduction and over 85% DIC removal.
